A Fun-Filled Morning with Our Young Patients.
At our practice, we believe that good habits start young — and what better way
to encourage oral health than with a morning of learning, laughter, and hands-
on fun?
Recently, Oral Health Educator Amy hosted a special session with some of our
youngest patients to talk all about brushing, healthy eating, and taking care of
those growing smiles. The goal? To help children understand the importance of
looking after their teeth — and to make it fun!
Amy shared easy-to-understand tips on how to brush properly, how often to do
it, and why our diet plays such a big role in oral health. The kids got to learn
about the difference between tooth-friendly snacks and those that can lead to
cavities. It was a relaxed, friendly environment where the children felt
comfortable asking questions and joining in.
But the morning wasn’t all about lectures — we added a creative twist! The
children enjoyed hands-on activities like making their own toothbrush holders
and helping “clean” a monkey’s teeth (don’t worry — it was a model, not a real
monkey!). These fun, interactive elements helped reinforce what they learned
and gave them a sense of pride and ownership over their oral health routines.
Events like these are an important part of what we do. Educating children early
helps build lifelong habits and reduces dental anxiety down the road. Plus, it’s
always a joy seeing their excitement and enthusiasm.
A big thank you to Amy for leading such a fantastic session, and to all the parents and
children who took part. We can’t wait for the next one!
